ABOUT US

David was born and raised in the Los Angeles area until his family moved to their cattle ranch outside Creston when he was 14. 

 He graduated from Paso Robles High School and attended Whittier College while working at his father’s business in L.A. He moved to Lake Tahoe to return to college at Tahoe Paradise College and after a few years in the food business entered real estate. He has been a manager for over 25 years, owned his own brokerage at Lake Tahoe and been involved in new home sales as well as investment and commercial real estate. 

 He has served as President of the Santa Maria (3 terms) and Pismo Coast Associations of REALTORs and was selected REALTOR of The Year for the Pismo Coast Association in 2003. He has recently completed Mediation Training through the Straus Institute at the Pepperdine University School of Law.

Karen was born in Brazil and lived there until her family moved to New Jersey when she was 10. She moved to the Porter Ranch, an area of the San Fernando Valley, in time to go to junior high school. 

 She worked in the banking and legal professions until she moved to the Central Coast in 1990. She has been a resident of Shell Beach since 1994, an investor in Shell Beach real estate since 1998, and a REALTOR since 2009. 

 Karen is passionate about gardening, her tortoises and turtles (she has had Henry since she was 10 years old) and our Old English Sheep Dog, Gus. She understands the value of home ownership and investment property.
